IBC 2014: Autodesk has added support for Shotgun’s production management software to the latest version of Flame.

Autodesk acquired Shotgun, a cloud-based production tracking, review and asset management platform in June.

Autodesk said the Flame/Shotgun integration would enable Flame artists to “quickly and efficiently share project work with producers, supervisors, clients, managers and other artists in the cloud”.

Flame 2015 Extension 2 will allow users to publish conformed sequences from Flame and Flame Assist to Shotgun and offer automated access to media and batch setups in Flare.

Once published, new Flare shots will be immediately available in Flame, so artists can update a shot, series of shots or all shots within the Flame timeline to versions created by Flare artists throughout the facility.

Artists can also send Flame or Flare clips directly to Shotgun’s review and approval tools, allowing others to annotate and approve shots within the software.
