Avid has promoted chief sales and marketing officer Jeff Rosica to the role of president.

In his new role, Rosica (pictured) will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all Avid’s customer-facing functions around the world, including sales, marketing, professional services, services delivery and customer support.

The president role was previously part of chief executive Louis Hernandez’s remit.

In a related move, EMEA vice-president of sales Tom Cordiner has been promoted to senior vice president of international sales.

Avid said the appointments were part of its preparations as it “shifts towards a growth phase in the second half of 2017”.

Also, Brian E. Agle will become Avid’s senior vice president and chief financial officer on Monday (12 December).

Before joining Avid, Agle served as an operating advisor at private equity firm Francisco Partners.

Ilan Sidi, who served as interim chief financial officer following the resignation of John W Frederick, will resume his role as vice president of human resources.

Meanwhile, Tim Claman, vice president, platform and solutions, is now responsible for Avid’s audio solutions.

He replaces Tim Carroll, Avid’s former vice president, audio products, who has left the company to become chief executive of Focusrite
