IBC 2015: Berkshire-based Bluebell Opticom has released the BN385, which it described as the industry’s first standalone remote robotic camera interface with dual GigE ports.

It will allow broadcasters to integrate remote robotic cameras into a broadcast network or master control room regardless of where they are installed.

“Controlling robotic cameras from a remote location used to require a combination of cards or enclosures, and the distance between the cameras and control rooms was limited by the cabling,” said Paul McCann, managing director of Bluebell Opticom.

The BN385 interface will be on show in Amsterdam.
