Apple has released an updated version of its Final Cut Pro X editing software.

FCP X has been updated for use with the manufacturer’s latest MacBook Pro.

Apple described the MacBook Pro Retina display, which was unveiled at the firm’s Worldwide Developer Conference on Monday, as “the world’s highest resolution notebook display with over 5 million pixels”.

Apple said those using FCP X with the display will “get four times the pixels of a traditional display, so for the first time on a portable computer, you can view your video in pixel-accurate 1080p HD”.
