Brief Picture and audio post for a documentary about a team of roboticists who create a bionic man out of man-made limbs and organs.

How it was done Senior colourist Enge Gray and director Tom Coveney had a lot of fun ensuring the dark and gothic ‘Frankenstein’ feel came through on screen by using Nucoda Film Master’s colour palette to the extreme.

The eerie and sometimes surreal scenes of the bionic build were treated with an otherworldly palette which was complimented by using unusual, hand-drawn shapes to treat areas of the image.

Senior dubbing mixer Ben Newth created the final mix using Pro Tools to convey the story from psychologist Bertolt Meyer, who has a bionic hand himself. Music and FX were used to heighten the drama of the ‘Frankenstein’ moments.
