Vitec Videocom’s senior vice president of product management and engineering Graham Sharp has left the company.
Sharp was responsible for leading Vitec’s Production Equipment unit, which includes Sachtler, Vinten, OConnor, Anton/Bauer, Litepanels, Artemis, Autocue and Autoscript.
Jim Boutin, project manager at US systems integrator Little Bay Broadcast Services and former Avid director, has been appointed as interim general manager of the division.
Boutin worked as a consultant for Vitec last year, helping with the reorganisation of the company’s service and support operation for the Americas region.
Vitec chief executive officer Matt Danilowicz said: “Graham made a huge contribution, completely revamping our major product lines in the Production Equipment Business Unit.
“As originally envisioned when he came to help us out two and a half years ago, he is now returning to his consulting business, and will continue to work with us on an intermittent basis to provide on-going guidance and input on our product roadmap.”
