NAB 2012: Quantel has released a software-only version of its Pablo grading system.

The system runs on standard hardware and allows users to scale from software only to full turnkey system.

Quantel marketing director Steve Owen said the new version delivered a “stunning” performance by taking advantage of the latest GPU technologies.

All configurations of the new system include the Pablo 2D and S3D colour and finishing toolset. It also supports ACES workflow and RED HDRx together with Arri, Canon and F65.

Also introduced at NAB was the Neo Nano compact colour panel (pictured), which Quantel said could be used outside a facility’s hero suite.
