Animation and graphics company th1ng Corp is opening a New York studio.

It follows recent US agency projects for the London-headquartered business.

The live action arm of the group, th2ng, has expanded its line-up of directors with US feature film director Rob Cohen joining the company.

Cohen, who has signed for UK, Europe and Middle East representation, directed The Mummy and The Fast and The Furious.

Th1ng Corp said the move was part of the company’s strategy to share its roster of talent in London and New York.

Chief executive Dominic Buttimore said: “Opening in New York greatly increases the skills and services available to our growing client base in the States. It also enables us to share our directorial talent, production and post-production facilities with the UK.”
