Graphics brief Design and create a graphics package for the 3 x60-min series, documenting the journey by Stephen Tompkinson in a hot air balloon over Australia.
How it was done Funktion’s Martin Ashford created 3D topographical maps in Photoshop and Fusion. David Edwards designed and animated the 3D titles, which were composited with live action in After Effects.
Shots were tracked and stabalised using Mocha.
In post-production, using the Nucoda Film Master, The Farm’s Perry Gibbs overlayed the pictures to increase the contrast resulting in a high gloss, high colour look for the series.
Stewart Marshall mixed the audio and Tam Osman did the online.
