IBC 2016: Suitcase TV will showcase a software-defined storage platform designed specifically for broadcast media operations at IBC.

The 1RU Windows-based MediaStor Archive comes with 128 TB of storage and offers options for online, nearline and archive storage at the same time.

It uses higher performance RAID-based storage for content that needs to be retrieved quickly and lower-cost lower-power MAID (massive array of independent disks) architectures for long-term archive.

The storage hardware is organised and controlled by a file management system that uses a traditional file and folder structure.
