Brief Create visual effects for the three-part drama, which is based on the true story of convicted murderer Malcolm Webster.

How it was done The story is set in Scotland and New Zealand but was shot in Ireland. Early 1990s vistas of the city of Auckland and surrounding landmarks were integrated into multiple scenes previously shot in Ireland.

One sequence required an entire Dublin street to be remodelled to resemble a typical Auckland suburban road.

Visual effects supervisor Tanvir Hanif directed second-unit photography in the UK and New Zealand to realise period versions of the locations.

Together with digital effects artist Paul Senior, they used Maya, Fusion and After Effects to complete more than 50 shots for the drama.
