BBC Broadcast has appointed Thomas Blomberg - former managing director of the UK arm of global subtitling group, SDI Media - in a newly created role as its head of language services. The position was created to facilitate BBC Broadcast's expansion in the translation broadcast market; it will now offer language versioning services including subtitles, dubbing and voiceovers. Blomberg had worked at SDI Media for 19 years, where he was involved in international expansion.
