Series hails from The Investigation indie Miso Film

The BBC has acquired Nordic crime drama The Uniform, produced by The Investigation indie Miso Film.
Heading to BBC4 and iPlayer, the 6 x 60-minute drama is set inside a competitive police academy in Denmark in the aftermath of a tragic incident in which a young police trainee has accidentally shot a man dead.
Soheil Bavi (The Legend) stars alongside Marco Ilsø (Vikings), Clara Rosager (Lost: Those Who Kill) and Lene Maria Christensen (The Excavation).
The series is directed by Jonas Alexander Arnby (Blinded: Those Who Kill) and produced by Sofie Bergstein, Jonas Allen, and Peter Bose for Fremantle label Miso Film. It is written by Oscar Giese (2 Days) and Anders August (The Quiet Ones).
The Uniform premiered on DR in February with over 1.5m viewers and a 47% share of viewing in Denmark.
Jamie Lynn, exec vice president of co-production & distribution, EMEA, international at Fremantle, said the show “delivers everything you’d want from a standout crime drama - complex characters, a tense coming-of-age story, and a fresh take on law enforcement that really sets it apart.
“Miso are true experts in their field and, alongside an exceptional creative team, have delivered a compelling series that has already performed incredibly well in Denmark, with ratings that speak for themselves.”
He added: “Given the success of Miso’s acclaimed titles The Investigation and Those Who Kill with BBC audiences, we’re confident this series will resonate just as strongly.”
Nick Lee, head of BBC programme acquisition, added: “With its moral complexity and depth of character, The Uniform is a confident and deeply engaging drama. Audiences will be drawn into the world of elite rookie cops, all with that trademark Scandinavian prestige our viewers love.”
