Blue has expanded its HD facilities with an Avid DS Nitris because of increased demand for high-definition editing, such as work on Fat Fiancés , a 50-minute documentary for Cicada Films. Fat Fiancés will air on the Discovery Channel in the US at the beginning of next year. The show was shot on HDCam and graded and captioned using the DS Nitris. It looks at families in Uganda who use bridal fattening rituals to achieve higher social status. Avid's DS Nitris is a high-end editing system that supports both SD and HD.
