DAZN will also have highlights of the Spanish top division, with Premier Sports and Disney+ showing it live
Sky Sports has added LaLiga highlights to its sports rights.
The broadcaster will have the highlights available on the Sky Sports app, skysports.com, Sky Sports News and on Sky Sports’ social media channels. For the league’s first weekend, it will have match highlights from each round of matches as well as live in-game action and the best moments from each match round.
The pair have agreed a three-year deal for the highlights, until the end of the 2027/28 season.
This comes shortly after DAZN announced a similar deal, offering LaLiga highlights as part of its free tier worldwide. That agreement is only for two seasons. Goalhanger has also agreed a three-year deal to show LaLiga highlights in its Rest Is Football podcast, as part of an expanded highlights rights strategy from LaLiga.
Premier Sports and Disney+ have the live LaLiga rights in the UK, with Premier Sports showing 340 games and Disney+ streaming prime time Saturday kick-offs. Premier Sports also shows fixtures from Spain’s second division, LaLiga Hypermotion.
There are a number of English players competing in LaLiga, including Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold at Real Madrid, Marcus Rashford at Barcelona, and Conor Gallagher at Atletico Madrid.
