Fountain Studios has purchased four HDC-1500 studio cameras from Sony in its first acquisition of HD equipment.
Chief engineer Chris Cooper said “We needed to upgrade and going HD was the obvious choice for us. We already have standard definition cameras with Sony, and felt Sony HD was the safe route.”

The cameras will be used to record light entertainment shows such as the next series of The X Factor.
