Rushes has promoted Simone Grattarola to director of colour grading.

Grattarola, who was senior colourist, will lead the Soho facility’s grading team, taking on some of former director of telecine Matt Turner’s responsibilities.

Turner, who joined Rushes in July 2010, is currently on gardening leave.

Grattarola’s credits include BBC productions Atlantis: End of a World, Birth of a Legend and Super Volcano, as well as numerous commercials and music videos for the likes of Madonna, Coldplay, Kylie and Snow Patrol.

Grattarola said: I’m so proud to take on this role. Rushes has an exceptional history in grading, I want to continue that, producing great work with the creative team we have here”.

Rushes managing director Joce Capper described Simone as “a rare talent”.

She said: “He has the ability to motivate the whole team, to lead a job with diplomacy, great skill and energy.”
