Hawkeye, the tennis and cricket virtual replay system, has won two IT awards at this year's British Computer Society Awards. Hawkeye Innovations scooped both the applications award and flagship award. The system tracks the motion of the ball during cricket and tennis matches with the resulting information being used to create a near real-time virtual replay of the action, within five seconds.
