Untold Studios and Hat Trick alumni strengthen digital indie’s senior team
Digital-first indie Strong Watch Studios has bolstered its senior leadership team, adding heads of production and creative, respectively.
Former Untold Studios and Jamie Oliver Productions producer Helen Gordon has joined as the former, while BBC Studios, Rumpus Media and Hat Trick Productions alumnus Adam Reeve will take up the creative role. He is tasked with running the slate of digital and TV ideas at Strong Watch.
The pair join in staff roles having played pivotal roles in the indie’s recent growth including helping to secure part of the £2m pot for the upcoming BBC Perspectives YouTube channel and working on Channel 4’s comedy entertainment YT channel A Comedy Thing, which has surpassed 1m views.

Gordon’s background is primarily in comedy and children’s television, and spans work in the UK and New Zealand. Reeve held senior development roles at BBCS, Rumpus and Strong Watch backer Hat Trick before moving into the digital space, where his credits include the second series of the Sidemen’s Inside for Netflix.
Co-founder Thom Gulseven said both Gordon and Reeve are “rare examples of people that straddle the worlds of digital and TV”.
“They have a shared understanding of how to create television-quality entertainment designed for digital platforms and budgets. It’s an exciting future,” he added.
Fellow co-founder Benjamin Powell-Jones added: “As the twin industries of TV and digital merge into one of ‘content distribution’, we’re building a team that understands both worlds.
“Helen and Adam are the start of that recruitment drive, bringing exactly that blend of experience, and we’re excited about what comes next.”
