Romantic comedy series will debut on ITVX later this week

ITVX has bolstered its festive programming line-up with romantic comedy series Twelve Dates ‘til Christmas.
The series, produced by Drops of God outfit Dynamic Television will its UK debut on 20 December, exclusively on ITV’s streaming platform.
Starring Mae Whitman, Mary McDonnell and Jane Seymour, the six-part title is based on the popular novel by Jenni Bayliss and follows Kate, a textile designer who is thrown unexpectedly into a matchmaking programme that sends her on 12 uniquely themed dates leading up to Christmas.
Twelve Dates premiered on the Hallmark Channel in the US on 5 December, as part of the network’s countdown to Christmas event.

The romcom is set in London and the English countryside during the holiday season and was created for television by Erin Rodman (The Christmas House), who penned the pilot and serves as co-showrunner alongside Davah Avena (Firefly Lane).
It is produced by John Wallace, with Carrie Stein and Dan March executive producing for Dynamic Television and David McLoughlin from Metropolitan Pictures.
Twelve Dates is the latest project from LA-based Dynamic Television, adding to Harry Wild series 4 for AMC/Acorn TV and Apple TV’s Drops of God series 2.
