Bristol-based Jelly TV has bought the UK's first Smoke on Linux system for£50,000. The graphics and animation specialist decided to buy it on the back of recent successful projects for the BBC: Curriculum Bites for BBC Education and Time Machine for the Natural History Unit. Jelly delivered over 300 SFX shots for Time Machine, which had staff working on a round-the-clock basis on the existing system.
