The Soho Square-based post house has bought four FCP systems, three of which are to be installed at the office of three separate producers.

CHI, Feel Films and another unnamed broadcast production company will get the new systems. The fourth suite will be installed at its Soho Square facility and will run alongside its Quantel editing systems.

Managing director Andrew Newman said: "The post-production industry is changing. We need to assist the production companies and have them trust us so they bring their finishing back."

Locomotion aims to spread the working relationship that it has with Darlow Smithson, working on projects such as Ancient Superweapons, to other companies. Darlow Smithson has seven FCP stations, where it does its offline before taking online and effects work to a post facility.

Locomotion has a partnership with Support Partners which maintains the equipment.
