With Love, Meghan is set for a second run on Netflix

Netflix has signed up the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for a further multi-year creative deal, though a less extensive arrangement than their previous pact.

The streamer has signed a first-look deal with Archewell Productions, the former royals’ label, replacing the previous deal, signed in 2020, which saw Netflix buy the exclusive rights to content from their indie.

Under that multi-year deal, Archewell had set out plans to produce scripted, docuseries and single docs and children’s programming which “informs but also gives hope”.

The indie has so far made single docs and docuseries including 2022’s Harry & Meghan, Heart of Invictus, Live to Lead, Polo and – most recently – lifestyle series With Love, Meghan.

The latter is set to return for a second run. The show promotes Meghan’s online brand As Ever, set up in association with Netflix, which sells products manufactured by the streamer’s consumer product group.

Archewell is also working up a script based on the novel Let’s Meet at the Lake. Other projects include documentary short Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within from Sister-backed podcast company Campfire Studios, in association with Wontanara Productions and Archewell, due for release later this year. The film is directed by David Vieira Lopez and Moses Bwayo, produced by Ross M. Dinerstein and Rebecca Evans for Campfire, with David Vieira Lopez, Geeta Gandbhir also producing alongside Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Chanel Pysnik for Archewell Productions.

Archewell is also in active development on additional projects with the streaming giant as part of the pan-genre creative partnership.

The Duchess said: “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand.

“My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
