Delicious will use the finishing system for broadcast, corporate and commercials work.

Neil Anderson, business director at NMR, said: “The higher hourly rate that Smoke commands means that the return on investment is rapid and the ability to offline a project on Final Cut Pro, then conform it natively, directly into Smoke, running on the same workstation, is a huge time saver.”

Commenting on the decision to invest in Smoke for Mac, Olly Wade, the facilities director at Delicious Edit said: “We’ve found the finishing tools in Final Cut Pro to

be quite limited. Smoke’s 3D compositing environment, along with its unparalleled speed and quality mean we can offer our clients high end results at a boutique price”.

A demo of Autodesk Smoke 2011 will take place at an open event hosted by NMR on Wednesday 9 June at 68 Dean Street in Soho.
