Phil Stone, one of the founders of the VTR Group, has died.

Stone, who was 61, passed away on 14 February.

He had been fighting lung cancer for the last six years.

As one of the founder directors of VTR, Stone was responsible for the design of the facility’s technical areas as well as editing.

His last project for the group was the design and build of its Blue Post Production facility.

For the past nine years Stone had worked as a freelance online editor on projects including Live From Abbey Road and The New Captain Scarlet.

The funeral will take place at 11am on Wednesday 27 February at St Margarets Church, Tylers Green, Buckinghamshire.
