Prime Focus has exited its Dean Street building, with staff and kit from the facility housed at the post firm’s Old Compton Street base.

The company’s Old Compton Street HQ now includes an expanded film division with additional scanning facilities sitting alongside services for archive restoration, rushes transfers and film scanning.

Managing director post production Rowan Bray said the firm’s departure from Dean Street was in part a response to clients spending less time in suites which resulted in less demand for space.

Bray said the post firm would retain all revenue generating equipment and that the reshuffle now meant Prime Focus had the widest range of post services under one roof.

She said: “There is a real surge of work at the moment and clients want a one-stop shop that can offer the full range of creative post services alongside the specialist services for which we are so well known.

“All our services are now available under one roof so our technical and creative offering is significantly enhanced.

“This will equip us to meet our wide-ranging client’s needs for the foreseeable future.”

Prime Focus has also added another Symphony suite and created a new DI grading suite for its feature film finishing services.
