Documentary will explore the boxer Tyson Fury’s life in and out of the ring
Fury, a documentary on the life of former unified heavyweight boxing world champion Tyson Fury, is in production for Netflix.
The feature-length doc is being produced by All3Media company Optomen, and directed by Lucy Wilcox (The Undercover Police Scandal: Love & Lies Exposed & Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism). George Waldrum (The Twister: Caught in the Storm) is executive producer, with Nick Hornby and Tina Flintoff as creative directors.
The film has full access to Fury himself, as well as his inner circle, and will feature never-seen-before footage. It will aim to tell, “the intimate and remarkable journey of an extraordinary fighter who, against all expectations, battled through impossible odds to achieve one of the greatest comebacks of all time.”
This news comes shortly after Netflix announced that a second series of At Home With The Furys is also in production.
Boxing has been a focus for Netflix’s growing live sport offering, with a number of high profile bouts being shown by the streamer as part of its subscription. It will show the highly anticipated Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez v Terence Crawford match up on 13 September.
