Film laboratory Cinelab London has appointed former Rushes boss Joce Capper as creative director.

Since the closure of Rushes, Capper has spent the last 18 months management consulting for Supernova Heights, working for a number of companies in the media industry including Cinelab London.

Now, she will take up Cinelab role full-time, charged with driving growth in both film and digital post production services.

Part of her remit will also be to help educate the industry and the next generation of filmmakers on the skills and craft needed when shooting on film.

Cinelab London has been a driving force in re-energising the use of film and busting common misconceptions of working in the medium, as well as the development of the restoration, archiving and digital post production departments.

Capper said: “I’ve loved being involved with film again. Working with the team to see how we can develop Cinelab London‘s services further has been motivating, we all share a passion for great filmmaking, all have a strong vision and a sense of humour. It makes each day interesting and fun”.

Adrian Bull, co-founder and CEO of Cinelab London, added: “I have known Joce for many years, previously working with her in operational and corporate roles at Ascent Media and Deluxe Entertainment. Cinelab London are a team of genuinely dedicated, talented, committed and friendly specialists, Joce is certainly that. She will help us push the business forwards, I am delighted to have her working with us full-time.”
