Former MD Marcus Bayley will move to finance director role

Halo will promote Louisa Sutherland-Smith to managing director from 1 April 2023. 

Sutherland-Smith joined the post house in 2016 as an executive producer, before moving to head of production in 2021. As MD, she will oversee the whole of Halo’s UK operation and will focus on developing new areas of business, managing the company’s talent and partnerships, and deepening the company’s bonds with broadcasters and streamers.

Marcus Bayley has been MD since 2019, and will stay at the company as finance director. His career has been focused on finance, holding a similar role at Milk VFX for three years before moving to Halo, as well as at a number of other companies such as The Mill.

Sutherland-Smith started her career in 2005 at Aquarium Studios, before moving to Prime Focus in 2010 as audio producer. She was promoted to senior post producer at Prime Focus before the Halo move in 2016.
