Imagen has added live capture and social media publishing capabilities to its video management platform.

Due to be shown at this month’s BVE exhibition in London, the live-to-archive streaming service will enable content owners to view, capture and archive incoming feeds, create highlights packages and then publish to subscribed audiences or social media channels.

It will also be possible for the finished live feed to be added to an archive where it can be accessed and repurposed later.

Imagen chief executive Charlie Horrell said of the new functionality: “With the introduction of our new live capture features and social media publishing, Imagen has established itself as the industry’s most complete media portal - providing the central hub for any organisation’s media services.

“Imagen extracts the greatest value from our clients’ media by allowing them to distribute live or archived content in the fastest time possible – delivering even more choice and a premium service for partners and broadcasters as well as audiences eager for new content on social media.”

Other new features include the introduction of automated updates that allow subscribers to be notified by emails or RSS feeds.
