The annual Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS) has revealed the dates of next year’s event, which will take place on Wednesday 12 May and Thursday 13 May 2021 at London’s Olympia exhibition centre.

The dates were confirmed today by Media Business Insight, the organiser of the show and publisher of Broadcast and Screen International.

“We are really looking forward to the show next year, it has a unique position in that we get to meet the users and people working in production and this will be ever more needed than before”

Brian Larter, Managing Director, Cuescript

Following its postponement due to the Covid lockdown, MPTS (formerly the Media Production Show) will once again showcase the industry’s latest technologies and services, as well as continue to run an exceptional content programme across the show floor.

“Safety of visitors and exhibitors will be of upmost priority for the MPTS organising team”

Safety of visitors and exhibitors will be of upmost priority for the MPTS organising team and a list of guidelines will be produced shortly. Event director, Charlotte Wheeler said: “Before the Covid pandemic forced the postponement of so many shows in the UK, MPTS 2020 was shaping up to be a busy and sold out show, brimming with the latest technologies and industry speakers across a huge content programme.

There is a strong will from the market for a successful UK show to take place in 2021, from production companies that require new equipment to be safety compliant to exhibitors that need to reconnect to their markets, generating new leads and developing business. MPTS 2021 will deliver all of that and more with new initiatives and virtual elements being worked on to deliver a significant event next year. The team and I are looking forward to welcoming many of you back to Olympia next May.”

Media Business Insight delivers exceptional content, data and insight through its other in-house brands, including Broadcast, Screen International, Broadcast Sport, Broadcast Tech, KFTV and The Knowledge.

The MPTS show team will be working with these to further explore virtual event options, sharing insights and reports to our communities. This will give the exhibitors and visitors a unique opportunity to be part of something bigger than the event itself across the year.
