VFX house One of Us is opening a studio in Paris. Emmanuel (Manu) Pichereau (pictured) will lead the creative team, and a number of One of Us employees will also join him there, through a mixture of hybrid remote and office-based working. The office will leverage the company’s London infrastructure.

Manu’s credits include Under The Skin, Anna Karenina, Everest, The Revenant, Netflix’s The Midnight Sky, and most recently The Matrix 4.

The first project to come out of One of Us’s Paris office will be Asterix and Obelix: The Silk Road.

One of Us says it is working with productions to “ensure they make the most of the French tax incentives, which begin at 30% and rise to 40%, with the additional rebate targeted at and triggered by VFX spend, making Paris an alluring alternative.”
