The building has taken a year and a half to build from scratch

VFX and post-production studio Unit has relocated to a five-storey 8,100 sq ft building in Fitzrovia. The office, on Berners Mews, has taken a year and a half to build, and has “been designed from scratch with the sole purpose of ensuring clients and their evolving needs are fully supported,” says Unit.

The purpose-built facility includes a full range of finishing services including grading suites, audio suites, Flame and 3D, as well as open plan design studios and flexible workspaces (see box below for more detail).

The building also has a client bar and lounge area.

It’s the first move for the company in seven years. It was previously based in Great Marlborough Street. Unit describes itself as “the largest independently owned creative studio”. Its work spans advertising, entertainment, long-form and tech projects.

Unit’s managing director Daniel Sapiano said: “This is the metamorphosis of Unit from a very good post-production company to a new all-encompassing, high-end, next generation studio. Our vision has been to create a genuinely future-focused space that promotes creativity, innovation and the sharing of ideas. We have the newest and most technically advanced setup in London.”

The company’s owner and founder Adam Luckwell, adds: “The building is full of state-of-the-art tech, while we’ve also created a comfortable, familiar and inspiring environment.”
