Technology-focused vortech.by conference will take place in Sweden in March

Vidispine and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have joined forces to launch vortech.by, a new technology-focused conference aimed at developers, solution architects and senior technologists in the media and video platform industry.

The inaugural event, to be held on 5-6 March 2019 at Scandic Victoria Tower, Stockholm, Sweden, is also supported by co-hosts Grabyo, Mayam, Codemill, Magenta.tv and Valossa.

Vidispine CTO Isak Jonsson said the new event would be more about technology, networking and learning, and less about marketing and sales. “Existing events have to balance business and technology features, but we feel that they fail to get to an appropriate degree of technical depth. Our goal is to demonstrate to audiences about integrating new components into the cloud, allowing them to monitor their assets through the media supply chain. vortech.by makes a clear stance - it is all about the technology and real problems to be solved.”

Session themes will encompass the industry’s current hot topics, such as cloud editing, streaming technologies, sports, AI, workflow and task management.
