Lipsync Post sound mixed Ultimate Force, a six-part 'boys' own' adventure drama starring Ross Kemp, produced by Bentley Productions for ITV 1, writes Barbara Marshall
The series was mixed in Dolby Pro-logic surround sound at Lipsync's 32-channel DFC-equipped film dubbing theatre. Head of sound Steve Haynes said the mixing process was similar to that used in feature films and that the audio treatment had 'plenty of middle' to add to the gritty, hard-nosed quality of the drama. Lipsync also provided music and effects tracks for foreign versions which involved removing the dialogue from the final mix while leaving as much ambient sound as possible on the track. Ultimate Force is set to air on ITV 1 from the middle of September. For more on the making of Ultimate Force see September's issue of B+.
