How it was done For the third promo, shot in Blackpool, the brief was to emphasise the cold and bleak nature of the setting. Using Baselight, colourists Danny Wood and Jon Dobson gave the promo a filmic look with cool, muted skin tones, a heavy blue cast and vignettes to shade it. To juxtapose with the grey of Blackpool, warm yellow tones, strong contrast and vibrant saturation were used to create an almost dreamy, desert-like haze. To create the final look, each shot was given more than 10 layers of grading adjustments. For the audio, Dave Williams and Ian ‘Arge’ Hargest made use of Avid Pro Tools and an in-house collection of wind and rain sound effects.
