IBC 2015: Vizrt will demo Coder, a new 4K/ UHD VoD transcoder, at IBC. It can produce content for VoD, web and mobile distribution with UHD resolutions, including graphics.
Coder supports dynamic scheduling of jobs and can distribute VoD, proxy or live transcoding jobs based on load and job requirements.
Vizrt said because all variants are generated in a single job, Coder uses lower disk I/O than previous transcoders.
