BBC Post Production's 3D animation and digital team has designed CGI-animated characters for new CBBC series Shoebox Zoo. The show sees teenager Marnie discover ancient Celtic woodcarvings in an old shoebox. The creatures spring to life to enlist Marnie's help in finding a magical tome. BBC animation design consultant Paul Kavanagh designed the characters, liaising with animation house Calibre Digital. Metro Ecosse supplied HD cameras and technical assistance. Shoebox Zoo airs on BBC1 on Sunday 26 September.
