Elite rugby sevens competition Ultimate Sevens has struck deals with DAZN, Fiji TV, Sky Sports New Zealand, Stan Sport and TikTok Live as it targets a global audience

The recently launched elite rugby sevens championship, Ultimate Sevens, has secured a series of international broadcast and digital partners.
DAZN will broadcast the series free-to-view globally (except Fiji, Spain, New Zealand and Australia), alongside Fiji TV, Sky Sports New Zealand and Stan Sport in Australia.
Ultimate Sevens has also confirmed TikTok Live as a key activation partner, who will bring creators on site for the Finals, which will take place in Brentford on Thursday 24 September.
The inaugural Ultimate Sevens Championship combines elite sport and live entertainment. It brings together Olympic medallists, international sevens stars and men’s and women’s rugby athletes to planet battle it out.
Barney Pascall, managing director of Ultimate Sevens, said: “We are creating a competition that is designed to take sevens rugby to a much bigger audience, and these partnerships give us the platform and global reach to make that happen.
“This is about more than broadcasting matches. It is about creating a new audience for sevens, showcasing the world’s best players and delivering the sport in a way that feels relevant to today’s sports fan.”
Every moment of the competition will also be streamed live on the Ultimate Sevens YouTube channel, with a bespoke social-first feed providing fans with an additional way to follow the action and engage with the competition.
Broadcast production is being delivered in partnership with OS Studios, Wavze is delivering sonic strategy and music, and there are a number of additional digital platform and social media content partners.
