Audio post reseller Scrub has installed a Digidesign Icon D-Control ES mixing console at Evolutions' newly acquired Great Pulteney Street location.

The new desk is intended primarily to enhance the workflow in one of Evolutions' flagship 5.1 dubbing theatres.

It will be integrated into a fibre-network of 10 dubbing theatres and over 100 on-line and off-line suites, spread across five buildings.

The installation was completed at the end of 2008.

“The combination of Pro Tools and Icon is an established industry standard, and we have found it to be tremendously flexible,” explained Evolutions operations director Owen Tyler.

“We can open up sessions from other studios, swap sessions instantly between all our audio suites and even import sessions straight from our Avid timelines, converting the editor's levels into easily tweaked fader automation as a great starting point for a mix.”
