Content storage firm Front Porch Digital has partnered with data centre Equinix as part of the European launch of its digital file workflow system LYNXlocal.

Unveiled in April, LYNXlocal is an extension of Front Porch’s cloud-based content storage system LYNX. It is based on the company’s Div Archive platform.

Front Porch will host the service, as well as Div Archive, in the Equinix LD5 International Business Exchange data centre in Slough.

Front Porch chief executive Mike Knaish described LYNXlocal as “the first enterprise content storage management solution in the content and digital media industry to embrace the cloud”.

He said: “It was important for us to launch our new service in a data centre with a vibrant content and digital media ecosystem, which will enable us to connect more widely to potential business partners.”
