Death In Paradise indie Red Planet Pictures has appointed Mammoth Screen exec producer Tom Leggett as its first creative director.

From February 2026, he will work alongside Red Planet’s co-chief executives Belinda Campbell and Alex Jones to oversee the development team and lead a push for new, returnable and limited series.

He has spent more than seven years at Mammoth working projects including the upcoming ITV spy thriller Betrayal, the upcoming BBC1 climate change series The Rapture and BBC3’s Grime Kids. He also developed the ITV thriller Code of Silence starring Rose Ayling-Ellis.

Previously, he was development producer at House Productions where he worked with James Graham on Channel 4’s Brexit: The Uncivil War and at Playground Entertainment where he developed the adaptation of Chimerica with playwright Lucy Kirkwood, also for C4.
