Comic duo behind Horrible Histories, Ghosts and Yonderland discuss their feature-length alien invasion comedy We Are Not Alone
In the first episode of Broadcast Behind the Screens’ second series, the comedy duo known for being members of the Horrible Histories troupe and BBC1 hit comedy Ghosts sit down to discuss their latest project We Are Not Alone.
Centring on the aftermath of an alien invasion, the feature-length film, which debuts on UKTV channel Dave tonight at 9pm, examines humanity through the prism of the aliens who have invaded the planet, using the pair’s trademark whimsical humour.
“Really, we’re the strange ones and they’re more logical in their outlook,” said Rickard.
The duo discuss the creative challenges of creating a feature-length comedy as opposed to the traditional sitcom, finding the balance between drama and silliness and hint at their plans for the story, should the film go on to become a series.
