It has taken on experienced post-production specialists, Ronnie Newman and Tom Young

Halo people moves

Halo has appointed two senior creatives to its picture finishing team.

Ronnie Newman (pictured above right) joins as senior online editor and colourist. He has held senior roles at facilities Blue and Prime Focus and joins the department to work on Halo’s non-scripted output.

Senior Flame editor Tom Young (pictured above left) joins from Platform Post. He will focus on Halo’s drama and UHD HDR projects.

Halo commercial director, Will Garbutt said: “Having Ronnie and Tom come on board is the start of an exciting period of growth for us. I have known Ronnie for many years. He has well over 25 years of experience in the chair, and aside from being a brilliant colourist and online editor combined, he is calm, fast and utterly reliable. I can say much the same about Tom whose credits speak for themselves, and he is also such a can-do character. I am so thrilled the pair of them are in our corner.”

Halo won the ‘Best Post Production House’ category at this year’s Broadcast Awards. It recently added three Baselight grading systems and another Flame suite as part of a major enhancement of its picture services. It also upgrades its offline sites to Z workstations, and Pro Tools rigs onto the latest Mac Pros.
