Iatakoo has brought in two new faces to boost its sales and marketing teams.

Charlie Mitchell joins the company as the new vice-president of sales, and will co-ordinate all sales activities in the US as well as oversee the global sales team. Meanwhile, Alex Almada becomes director of marketing, and will manage marketing-driven growth initiatives.

These hires come as the business looks to expand its video transfer and workflow product portfolio to support production companies in addition to broadcast production. Iatakoo offers a cloud-based platform that uses patented technology and smart automation to transfer video of any size to anywhere. They include Nexstar Media Group in their customers.

Mitchell joins the company from Swedish cloud video company LiveAB, where he was executive vice president, sales and marketing in North America. Before, he had been director of sales for IBM Watson Media among other positions at broadcast technology companies.

Almada had been senior digital marketing manager of GPB Capital, an alternative investment firm, where he oversaw the company’s digital transformation and online footprint. He has ten years’ experience in digital marketing and knowledge of SaaS companies.

CEO of Iatakoo, Paul Adrian, said of the news: “We are in an expansion period with new service offerings that will deliver greater value for producers and distributors who are currently locked down, off-set, during the Covid-19 pandemic.”

“Charlie is a proven sales leader who will elevate our game in the cloud video and workflow marketplace while Alex brings a mastery of web-driven strategies for marketing engagement and success.”
