Roku has launched The Roku Channel in the UK, offering a catalogue of around 10,000 free-to-air (ad-supported) movies and TV productions.

No subscription, fees or logins are required to access the content, which is available through a Roku device, NOW TV or Sky Q box.

The ‘content partners’ for The Roku Channel include All3Media International, EndemolShine Group, FilmRise, pocket.watch and DRG, as well as Hollywood studios such as Lionsgate and Sony Pictures Television.

The Roku Channel library includes Homes Under the Hammer, The Commander, Ultimate Force, Fifth Gear, Skins and Britain’s Best Bakery. Feature films include Get Carter, The Wicker Man and Les Miserables.

There’s also find a special Kids & Family section, including Bob the Builder, Teletubbies, Oddbods, Bernard, Ryan’s World Specials, Fireman Sam and Baby Einstein Classics.
