Scandinavian media consultancy and reseller Mediability is setting up a London office headed up by former Vizrt UK managing director Rex Jenkins.

The office will be branded Mediability Global and will help clients in Europe and the Middle East “prepare and future-proof workflows in a rapidly-changing media landscape,” says the company.

Mediability is well-known in Scandinavia for consulting on and deploying IP, cloud and video streaming workflows for a variety of media and broadcast clients.

Mediability’s CEO Håvard Myklebust, said: “With more media organisations now preparing to switch to IP-based workflows, there’s an increasing demand worldwide for our expertise in successfully delivering such projects. London’s position as a key media hub, and the wealth of technical talent it is home to, made it the obvious location to base our new Mediability Global offering there. And in Rex we’ve found the perfect person to spearhead the business.”

Rex Jenkins added: “What we offer is quite different to the services of traditional systems integrators, who we see as collaborative partners. We work closely with customers and systems integrators to interpret their needs in-depth. We then make sure our customers understand the technology to enable them to manage new workflows themselves.”
