Tomasz Witkowski has joined the studio, which is operated by Time+Space Studios.

Twickenham Film Studios has hired Tomasz Witkowski as its director of technology and engineering.

Witkowski will be overseeing and developing the technology pipeline and creating bespoke technical services for clients of the studio, as it looks to evolve its offering. Workflow and network infrastructrue will also be within his remit.

He has 12 years’ experience in the film and TV industry at Dolby Laboratories, Eclair, Ymagis Group, Sundog Media Toolkit and Arttech CInema amongst other companies. He is also a co-founder of the Soho Media Club - a network for a network for production, post-production and distribution professionals.

Managing director of Twickenham Film Studios, Cara Sheppard, said: “In his new role as Director of Technology & Engineering at TFS, Tom will be primarily responsible for the overall technical operational activity and future development - to fully advance the quality, productivity and efficiency of the studio and post-production services.

“He will also be responsible for creating a technical innovation hub to create a centre for excellence and enhancement, leading a team of specialists and subject matter technical experts with varied and overlapping backgrounds. His appointment is a fundamental stepping stone towards positioning TFS as a technology and innovation hub focused around modern production workflow.”

Witkowski added:“I am totally focussed on repurposing the entire technical infrastructure and expanding and evolving our current technical services and facilities. I feel it is so important to lead our talented team, bringing them on board to implement a renewed innovation, technology and workflow strategy.
