Its Stockley Park hub will host DAZN’s production
IMG will deliver DAZN’s UK and English language programming for the FIFA Club World Cup.
Its Stockley Park base will host DAZN’s global production hub for the tournament, which gets underway on 14 June and ends 13 July. IMG will also provide global content operations, delivering 1,000+ hours of DAZN’s programming and content from the competition.
In addition to the live matches, this content will include a daily post-game round up show, named The Press, featuring the biggest moments from the tournament, social media reactions, and expert analysis, alongside pre- and post-game programming, which will be produced live from IMG’s virtual studio and facilities at Stockley Park.
Other tasks IMG will cover include hosting DAZN’s central edit and graphics processes, and managing the delivery of interviews, press conferences, feature stories and highlight packages to DAZN’s core markets, publishing partners, sublicensees, and football clubs worldwide.
Pete Oliver, CEO of growth markets at DAZN, said “The fan is at the centre of everything DAZN does and with a tournament as global as the FIFA Club World Cup, and with our ambition to make it the largest, most accessible competition ever, we wanted to collaborate with partners who matched our values and ambitions. Working with IMG to produce our UK and ROW feed at a facility as cutting-edge as Stockley Park, will allow us to deliver the best product to fans around the world’.
James Clement, SVP, tech and operations, studios at IMG, said: “The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is the biggest stage in international club football this summer and we’re excited to help DAZN bring the tournament to fans’ screens all over the world. Our state-of the art facilities and technical expertise allow DAZN and its international broadcast partners to seamlessly deliver quality programming and elevate the viewer experience as their favourite teams battle it out for the title.”
DAZN unveiled its presentation team for the Club World Cup this week. It has global rights to the expanded FIFA competition, which runs 14 June-13 July across the US, but has sublicenced 23 of the 63 fixtures to 5 in the UK. 5 will use DAZN’s feed, with the same presentation team and commentators, for its coverage.
DAZN has also announced a number of partnerships to promote its coverage of the Club World Cup including with social platforms TikTok and X. There have also been content partnerships with The Rest Is Football podcast, and well-known football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
