Dubbing and subtitling business BTI Studios expands its international footprint with new acquisition

Localisation business BTI Studios has acquired Dutch dubbing studio Creative Sounds.

Hilversum-based Creative Sounds was founded in 2000 by Patrick and Charlotte Ulenberg, and has worked with BTI Studios for the past decade. It has 14 dubbing studios.

BTI founder Björn Lifvergren said: “I have no doubt that they will be a great asset in supporting the Dutch localization needs of our clients.”

Patrick and Charlotte Ulenberg and their team will stay on to grow the dubbing business under the BTI Studios umbrella.

Creative Sounds employs 23 full-time employees and is the only Dolby certified Dolby-Atmos for Home Entertainment facility in the Netherlands. Its clients include Viacom, eOne, DFW and NPO.

BTI Studios operates 22 facilities globally providing dubbing, subtitling and access services. Its clients include broadcasters such as BBC Worldwide, Discovery Networks and Turner; film studios such as NBC Universal, Warner, Disney and Fox; and VoD platforms such as Amazon, Netflix and Hulu.
